Those cuties are my girls C+C, we’re so glad you’re here! It was the height of the pandemic, and my family was navigating the woes of quarantine. Is this real life? How was I, as an educator, going to transition to a remote teaching environment? It was 3am, and I was rocking my youngest daughter back to sleep. Her tiny hand reached up to touch my face, and I wished I could hit the pause button on that moment in time. Shortly thereafter, the brainstorming began, How could I collect these small heartwarming moments? How can I intertwine my passions: sign language, teaching, and motherhood? How can I notate, to one day share with the girls? Suddenly, it all made sense - journals. As a result, “It’s A Sign” was born. A play on words, an acronym and a way of life to encourage moments of self reflection, and identifying joy in each day.
